About Japanese and Thai character counts

In Thai, tone marks and combining symbols are also counted as characters. A Thai page typically has about 2–2.5× the characters of a Japanese page. Per‑character rates are higher for JA→TH, but per‑page costs may be higher for TH→JA depending on volume.

Example: A4 page counts and prices

• •JA→TH: ~1,000 Japanese characters → 7,000 JPY (at 7 JPY/char)
• •TH→JA: ~2,000–2,500 Thai characters → 10,000–12,500 JPY (at 5 JPY/char)
